Civil Quantity Surveyor
Blue Water Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a well-established Civil Engineering contractor that is based in South Wales.
Our client specialises in key projects such as rail infrastructure, highway amendments, bridges & structures and public lighting.
Due to continued tendering successes, our client is looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, practical, and possess excellent communication and presentation skills allied to a strong track record of delivery within the civil engineering industry.
The job will involve the following duties:
- Experience of working with, negotiating and understanding the NEC contracts.
- Understanding, preparing and presenting monthly cost/value (CVR’s) and/or work in progress (WIP’s) reports with input and assistance from the Project Team.
- Preparation of monthly cost plans identifying and providing justification for periodic or completion movements.
- Working collaboratively with the department and project teams to ensure contract administration and internal processes are improved and maintained to the maximum standard.
- Understanding and experience in project programmes and critical paths
- Producing, submitting, substantiating and agreeing monthly Applications for Payment to the point of Certification.
- Producing, submitting, substantiating and negotiating external Final Accounts.
- Subcontract administration including but not limited to procurement, management, administration and Final Account agreement.
